Hybrid Electric Vehicle Production Forecasts: 2006-2015
This 10 page report forecasts global hybrid electric vehicle production by manufacturer and platform. It employs the Toyota penetration formula as a percentage of total platform output by car manufacturer after five years from prototype development to full market production. This formula is carried out for all major HEV producers in Japan, the USA, Europe, and Korea as of July 2006 and makes forecasts to 2015 based upon announcements of vendors in the space. An excellent forecasting tool for HEV unit output by manufacturer, by year from 2006 to 2015.

Passive Components In Medical Implants: 2005-2010
This is a detailed analysis of passive component consumption in implantable medical devices with emphasis upon low power and high power cardio-inverter implantable pacemakers and defibrillators. The emphasis is upon flash capacitor technology in the 390 Vdc 200 µF range; and ceramic feedthru capacitors for EMI/RFI filtering. One of the most fascinating and demand end-use market segments, the implantable defibrillator vendors are keen upon their passive component supply chain because of the stringent requirements to compete. The study addresses shifts in dielectrics for flash capacitors away from aluminum to tantalum wet slug designs; and the advancements in thruhole capacitor designs. The study lookms at the BSX purchase of Guidant and focuses on the prospects of Medtronic and St. Jude and the entire rapidly growing and changing segment over the next five years. Forecasts to 2010- detailed supply chain data.
