Passive Component Industry Magazine
The Paumanok Group owns and publishes Passive Component Industry Magazine, a four-color, high-end publication dedicated to the promotion of the passive electronic component industry. Passive Component Industry magazine (PCI) serves all segments of the global passive electronics component marketplace, from end users, distributors and manufacturers to raw material and equipment suppliers.
Now in it's tenth year, PCI is the only publication dedicated to exclusively covering the passive component industry. PCI is read by the decision makers in the passives industry—the purchasing managers, buyers, R&D managers, research scientists, technical directors and senior management that drive it. For organizations that deal in passives, PCI is an essential marketing component. PCI is published six times a year and has a controlled circulation of over 13,000 global subscribers. PCI offers, by far, the largest reach in the passive component industry over any other publication or media outlet.

Upcoming Issue: Circuit Protection Components
The world market for electronic circuit protection components is near equally split between components that protect against over-voltage and those that protect against over-current. These components protect expensive semiconductor devices from unintended voltage or current caused by an event external to the circuit.
There's been a greater need for protection as semiconductors have become thinner and more vulnerable to the damaging affects of unwanted transients. The use of circuit protection components is also rising as OEMs comply with global regulatory specifications that govern the performance characteristics of the electronic devices.
Over-Voltage Protection Components
Substantial growth for over-voltage protection components has been driven by demand from the telecom infrastructure markets where thyristors, gas tubes, line-feed resistors, and avalanche diodes are consumed for secondary protection of line cards in voice and data switches, base stations, and modems, and devices.
Over-current protection markets are growing at a slower rate when compared to over-voltage protection component markets because the end markets into which over-current protection devices, such as large and small home appliances (white goods), are growing at a slower rate. However, the development and proliferation of smart appliances will increase demand for over-voltage protection components moving forward.
